The immune system in SLE pathogenesis. The abnormal degradation of apoptotic material and the components of the NET (extracellular trap of neutrophils) are recognized by antibodies and immunocomprehends circulating with pCDs stimulation (dendritic cell plasmacitoids), DCs (dendritic cell) myeloid, basophilic, neutrophils, macrophages / monocytes, with the final release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-4, IL-6, IL-1b, IL-18, TNF-a, type I IFN and BAFF. The activation of B and T cells leads to the amplification of antibody production and chronic inflammation.
